The village of Santa Magdalida sits on a hill, surrounded by miles of wheat fields. When they burn the stubble the sky turns black and as you drive along beside it, it seems like the village is emerging from the flames unscathed when it is revealed in a glimpse of blue sky. The fire burns for days and the air is full of falling black soot.

Das Urige mallorkinische Dorf Santa Magdalida liegt etwas abgelegen auf einen Hügel und ist über Kilometer von Weizenfeldern umgeben. Wenn es Zeit ist die Stoppelfelder niederzubrennen , scheint es als ob das Dorf aus Feuer und Asche auferstanden ist, unbeschadet und von einem kleinen Streifen Blauen Himmels bestrahlt, während rundherum ein brennendes Inferno herrscht indem es seit Tagen Glut und Asche regnet.
